REPORT: The Federal Government Is Arming Up

Every Agency Is Heavily Armed

Report Shows Federal Agencies Arming Up That Have No Reason To

As the Democrat party continues to figure out ways to disarm the American people and repeal the 2nd Amendment, a new government oversight study entitled “The Militarization of America”, conducted by Open The Books, shows a staggering amount of money being spent arming the federal government that have no business being armed.  The study was conducted through fiscal years 2006-2014 and has some alarming agencies in the report that are armed to the teeth.  Aside from the massive amounts of money being spent arming these agencies, the real concern is why they need to be this heavily armed to begin with.

Federal Government

Guns everywhere

The report shows that 67 non-military government agencies have spent $1.7 Billion on guns, ammunition, and military style equipment.  Administrative agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Small Business Administration(SBA), Smithsonian Institution, Social Security Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, United States Mint, Department of Education, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and many other agencies purchased guns, ammo, and military-style equipment.  Some of the agencies listed in the report or hardly known and are so obscure, budgeting is typically “ear-marked” in massive Omnibus bills and continuing resolutions.

Some other curious findings, as an example, was nearly $400,000 was spent on paintball equipment for training, and drones for departments that have no reason at all to have un-manned aircraft.  Here are some additional examples of what was found in the report,
